WIP Wednesday and a Winner

I’m hosting WIP Wednesday today over at Freshly Pieced. Head over for details on what I’ve been up to.

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

And the winner of the typewriter pouch is Patti!

She said, “Fantastic and helpful tutorial! Thanks so much. I would someday love to get up the nerve to attempt English Paper Piecing. Sigh! thanks for the chance to win this gorgeous pouch. I don’t have any of the typewriter fabric!”

I’ve sent you an email to get your information and I will get it right out to you.

WIP Wednesday – the recovery one

I’m working on a quilt market recap. It’s a lot to process. Those people who just get their posts up right away amaze me! I spent a lot of time working on some business stuff this time, and I didn’t take as many pictures as I’d like, but I still have plenty to share. Sara already has great recaps of individual designers up, go check them out for great peeks at upcoming lines.

So, while I process all the information I took in, here’s a little bit of what I did before I went.

Mario Pixelated Quilt – Done!

I finally finished it. Just five months after I gave it to Brad for his birthday, I actually finished his gift.

2,292 squares later, it is done. And I love it.

So does Lottie. Her new thing, every time I’m working on a quilt, is to ask me if I’m making her a new hiding place.

Each side square is one of the power-ups. I know, I mixed versions of the game, which my brother already gave me grief for. I know I have more than one 1up. And I’m totally ok with that.

Can’t Help Myself

Here’s what I should have been doing today:

1. Working on my Kona Solids Challenge project for the SLMQG. We are showing them and having a little contest this Thursday at our meeting, and it’s not done  yet.

2. Working on my little secret square project. Because it’s for my husband’s birthday on the 29th and I’m nowhere near close enough. (But it will be awesome, and I promise to share after the big day.)
