Stash Match

Have you seen the Stash Match game over on Ali’s blog?

This month she asked us to pull fabrics for a Modern Maples quilt. I love fall and had no troubles pulling out the fabrics for this quilt. I grabbed one of my old favorites for the backing and pulled fabric for the front based on that. I just finished up a Modern Maples quilt top, but this makes me want to start all over again!

Head over and see if you can match up the bloggers to their stash (Ali has lots of hints for you too) and you could win a bundle of perfect fall fabric from Westwood Acres!

Quilt Market – Spring 2012

There are a lot of gratuitous fabric posts about Quilt Market around the blogosphere. For amazing comprehensive coverage, you can always check out True Up. {And if you look closely at the Seven Islands post you can see me walking past Melody Miller’s booth.}

So, I’m going to focus on what market really meant to me. It was full of great opportunities, strengthened friendships and of course, lots of beautiful fabric.

Quilt Market Day 1

I was only able to make it to a few classes in the schoolhouse series today. I started off with Amy Butler previewing her new substrates – voiles, rayon, organics and corduroy. I’m excited for those for clothing.

I was excited to see all of the quilts from Amy Ellis’ Modern Basics book in person. And I may or may not have won a signed copy that may or may not be given away here soon (since I’ve already got my own).

Lila Tueller’s upcoming line is adorable.
I have more pictures, but I left my camera cord at home.
