It might be a month late… but here’s a quick tutorial for the Easter skirts I made my girls.
I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions, just let me know and I’d be happy to answer them. Seriously, this is a super easy skirt to make, only slightly more involved than making a basic twirl skirt. Here we go.
Materials Needed
approximately 1/2 yard of two different prints (mine is from Riley Blake, Farm Fresh by October Afternoon)
3/4″ elastic
ribbon
basic sewing supplies

It’s been a while… but I’m working away. I’ve got lots of things to show you, but with lots of projects also comes no time to blog!

I’m slowly quilting my Little Apples dresden quilt. Whoever thought it would be fun to do some echo quilting around all those dresden plates was incorrect. But it will look amazing when it’s done in 20 years.

Remember all of these? Well, I’m getting ready to list clothing in my shop now! I started with this favorite of Lottie’s. She gets all excited for her “Mi-ee-mouse” dress.
She loves her Mickey Mouse! I love that she can wear something Mickey without it being so obvious!
A little reverse-applique Mickey detail keeps it subtle, but she sure knows he’s there.
I know, you’re expecting a new bag, right?
You would be wrong, sir. Lately I’ve been sewing a lot… I know you wouldn’t know that because there’s been nothing on my blog or new etsy shop listings. But really I have been sewing a lot. Mostly clothes. I am having so much fun sewing dresses for my little girls and their cousin!
This is Jane – I made a pattern last night and was able to sew this up today.

Penny and I are in a fight. Remember that from when you were kids? How you and your best friend would be “in a fight” so you’d go find a new “best friend” until you suddenly were bff’s with your old best friend again? Well, that’s what it’s like for Penny and me right now. We’re in a fight – but don’t worry, I have a feeling that we’ll make up pretty soon. (And by that, I mean I figured out how to fix her so she’s exactly what I want her to be – which is what being a bff is all about when you’re 5. So, obviously I’m a five-year-old this week.)
