I’ve been using up my stash for projects lately. If you’re a quilter, you’ve probably got a stash, right? Kati hosts a linkup every month to share what we’ve been making from our stashes, to encourage us to use them.

I’m not sure about you, but I’ve got a lot of stuff on my shelves that I was so excited about, and had to have the perfect project for, so there it sits… and sits and sits. I decided I’m finally going to just start using it!
I have a giant jar plus several gallon bags of selvages. I have a plan for them, but I know I can’t use them all. So, I started with this pillow for the Pillow Talk Swap over on Flickr. My partner’s mosaic included some great inspiration. I combined the selvages with an eight-pointed star. I love it. I could see myself making an entire quilt with
these blocks.
I busted out a zipper pouch using Anna’s tutorial and some precious Melody Miller fabric. I love this fabric, but most of it has sat on my shelf since I bought it last April. I decided it was time to use more, so I made this bag for my knitting. The open top really makes it easy to knit from.
I made this one for hand piecing projects. (In use at a concert in the park.) This way I get to see this great fabric every time I work on another project!
And, my Peacock Park quilt was made entirely from my stash too. It’s a little hard to make those first cuts into fabric you’ve been saving. But once you do, it really feels great!

I love this pillow Colleen! It really makes me want to pull my selvages out and do something with them.
