I got back late last night from my painting convention. What a blast. It was wonderful to spend some time with my mom and nobody else (except for hundreds of other crazy decorative painters)!
It was kind of a rough trip – I went while getting over a cold, which turned into bronchitis on the plane, exacerbated my asthma and sent me to the ER Friday night. A few breathing treatments and a lot of medication later, I was back painting on Saturday, missing only one class!
Crazy E.R. too… I’m used to my small-town E.R. where you walk in and out, and people can come and go. Not in Seattle! I handed them my I.D. and they rushed me back. I didn’t wait at all (I guess there are benefits to not breathing – no waits). My mom was still checking in with security and getting her visitor pass with a barcode and her photo to I.D. her. Crazy.
Anyway, it was a great time and we met ladies on the plane back home from our local chapter. We will go check it out and maybe start painting more often.
I will post pictures of my projects once I get home and get them photographed. What kind of a blogger am I? I had my camera in my painting bag all week and didn’t take a single picture. Shame on me. But I had some wonderful teachers and learned amazing new things. I worked with oils for the first time and I loved it.
