Sister here, and in order to set the record straight here is the full story of the Bean:

Colleen shares her name with our Aunt Colleen. So for the longest time we used the names Colleen (for Aunt Colleen) and Colleenie (for you, Sister.) Some how Colleenie turned into Weenie and Neenie which in turn became Beanie (I think mostly because Mom did not like us saying Weenie). Beanie then became Beaner, around the same time I figured out that I HATE people calling me Stephie and if I did not like my name shortened with just an 'ie' at the end NO ONE should like it. Beaner and Neeners stuck around for a long time, but Neen and Neeners just was not the right fit, I think also because Neener kind of sounds mocking. The natural order of things just eliminated the rest and Beaner stuck until the above mentioned Disneyland incident in which we were informed we were inadvertently racist and Bean has been around ever since. However, now I am so used to calling you Sister (which all is of course attributed to Neighbor... shout out) that when you named this place The Busy Bean I actually almost cried I was so happy because I felt like you were naming it after me! Soppy yukcy, over.

And thus is a faithful accounting of the origin of Bean.
